PhD in Mathematics (University of Barcelona, Spain). Professor of Statistic in Andalusian School of Public Health (Granada, Spain). Coordinator of postgraduate courses in Statistical Methods, Data Analysis and Epidemiology. Director of several national and international research projects in Public Health. Currently, the main fields of research are related to disease mapping and small-area ecological studies. Member of the Expert Advisory Group for European Union (Research Directorate, European Commission, Brussels). Coordinator of the Expert Reviewer Group for the validation and evaluation of national projects financed by the Spanish Health Government. Statistical reviewer of national and international scientific journals related to Statistic and Medical Research.
