Evolution of the Millennium Development Goals in Andalusia (ODMA)
The September 13, 2000, the leaders of the 189 States that made up the United Nations met in the Millennium Summit. They adopted a Declaration and established the Millennium Development Goals, that should achieve significant improvement in 2015. These Development Goals are:
- Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger
- Achieve universal primary education
- Promote gender equality and empower women
- Reduce child mortality
- Improve maternal health
- Combat HIV-AIDS, malaria and other diseases
- Ensure environmental sustainability
- Develop a global partnership for development
