In the last five years, DEMAP has led more than ten research projects funded in competitive competition by national and international organizations and has collaborated with other research groups in different multicentre studies, some of them developed within the framework of the European Union.

The research lines developed by DEMAP are related to the spatial distribution and temporal evolution of health indicators, the definition of new sociodemographic indices for the characterization and classification of geographical areas and the development of statistical methods for the analysis of epidemiological studies in areas little.
